Real and Raw in TG4\u2019s new Autumn Schedule<\/h2>\n<p>Powerful storytelling forms the backbone of TG4\u2019s new Autumn schedule launched today in Cork City.\u00a0\u00a0 TG4 is renowned for its documentaries and this season will not disappoint, with an array of compelling and moving stories that reflect Irish life.\u00a0 There is something for everyone in the line-up of music, sport, entertainment and travel programming that are produced in an inherently Irish way.<\/p>\n<p>TG4 Director General, Alan Esslemont, said: <em>\u201cTG4 has always put its audiences first and, in partnership with the Irish independent production sector, we continue to strive to create programmes which create value for Irish audiences, again this year we promise a superb schedule of new programmes which is innately Irish, compelling and contemporary.\u00a0 We are also very aware that part of the role of a modern public service broadcaster is to give opportunity to emerging Irish on-screen and off-screen talent and to help develop companies with world-class content and global ambition. \u00a0TG4 is widely recognised as the main force in the development of the audio-visual sector in the regions outside of the Dublin\/Wicklow area and we are delighted, for the first time ever, that we are launching our TG4\u2019s Autumn schedule nationally from Cork.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Powerful Irish stories, that show the resilience of people in trying circumstances will be presented by Orla O\u2019Donnell in <strong>\u2018Finn\u00e9\u2019<\/strong>.\u00a0 Evanne N\u00ed Chuilinn, who was adopted as a baby, explores the long and often distressing story of adoption in Ireland in <strong>\u2018Ucht\u00fa \u2013 Evanne N\u00ed Chuilinn\u2019. \u2018Saol an Mhadra Bh\u00e1in\u2019 <\/strong>tells how Irish people have had their quality of life dramatically changed and improved by their guide dogs. \u2018<strong>Tab\u00fa<\/strong>\u2019 is back with more hard-hitting factual documentaries about issues such as homelessness, direct Provision, and being transgender in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Eminent politicians will be portrayed in a new light in the documentaries <strong>\u2018M\u00e1thair Trump \u2013 The President\u2019s Mother\u2019 <\/strong>explores the story of Donald Trump\u2019s mother, Mary MacLeod who left the Hebrides for America in search of a better life.\u00a0 <strong>\u2018Martin McGuinness \u2013 I Fought, I made Peace, I made Politics\u2019<\/strong> gives an insight into the life and times of Martin McGuinness, and <strong>\u2018De Valera i Meirice\u00e1\u2019 <\/strong>follows the extraordinary story of \u00c9amon de Valera to America in 1919.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4l4MXd1Kg_g\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThere is a new line-up to the \u2018<strong>Underdogs\u2019<\/strong> management team this year, with Kerry\u2019s Mickey Ned O\u2019Sullivan and Donegal\u2019s Kevin Cassidy joining Valerie Mulcahy.\u00a0 <strong>Hector <\/strong>will be in America travelling from coast to coast, from Savannah to San Diego. \u00a0A new series <strong>\u2018Creative Company\u2019<\/strong> will find Ireland\u2019s most creative workplace.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L95WFILW824\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
