TG4 are pleased to reveal a new brand look that will air from today February 1st. The new look unifies the TG4 brand across all devices and platforms and includes six new brand idents. Brand Idents have always created a strong visual identity for TG4 across its platforms and have been the visual representation of the channel motto of \u2018S\u00fail Eile\u2019.

\nFollowing a competitive tender process, the set of idents were commissioned from creative agency Red Bee, who worked in collaboration with TG4\u2019s inhouse design team. The inhouse team developed complementary presentation graphics and stings to support the idents which present TG4 programming content with brand personality.
\n 
\nThe six idents are contemporary interpretations of Ireland\u2019s unique storytelling and landscapes. The concept embraces Irish landscapes whilst injecting a contemporary twist via an unexpected interaction with generated figures that enter the landscape. The idents are visual interpretations of phrases in Irish. The themes of the six idents are: Windy Day, Seaweed, Rain Dance, Leporine, Glass Blowing and Street Crossing. \nTG4’s Creative Director Se\u00e1n Cathal \u00d3 Coile\u00e1in<\/strong> said, “TG4 has evolved from TV centric to a multimedia brand, and that evolution means the idents have to work in the multi-platform, multi-screen environment. The idea is to simplify TG4’s brand interface on all screens and media while retaining the strengths of the previous identity. The result is a spring forward into a contemporary multimedia environment.”<\/em>
