TG4 has received fourteen nominations for the 2025 Celtic Media Festival Torc Awards for Excellence announced today.

\nThis year’s festival will be the 46th Celtic Media Festival and it will take place in Newquay in Cornwall, from the 3rd \u2013 5th of June 2025. TG4 received nominations across multiple genres. These include:

\nCR\u00c1: Drama Series<\/em><\/strong> – A murder investigation begins when Garda Conall \u00d3 S\u00failleabh\u00e1in’s missing mother is discovered buried on a bog. Conall is forbidden from working the case but that’s not going to stop him. Meanwhile, a young journalist, Ciara-Kate, decides to produce a podcast about the case. Conall soon realises that Ciara-Kate can get access to people who refuse to speak to the official investigation. If Conall wants justice for his mother, he has no choice but to join forces with this journalist. Their investigation leads them on a dark path and begs the question: can justice really be blind? \nBased on the origin story of the riotous and ground-breaking Irish-language rap trio KNEECAP, the film stars the band\u2019s Mo Chara, M\u00f3gla\u00ed Bap and DJ Pr\u00f3va\u00ed in their acting debuts alongside Academy Award nominated Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs, 12 Years a Slave), Simone Kirby (Hidden Assets, Jimmy\u2019s Hall) and Josie Walker (Belfast, The Wonder). Set in west Belfast in 2019, it chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to \u201cchange the sound of Irish music forever\u201d.
