This latest addition to TG4\u2019s expanding sports coverage makes the Irish language broadcaster the exclusive home of domestic women\u2019s football in Ireland.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nAlready the broadcaster of the SSE Airtricity Women\u2019s Premier Division and the Women\u2019s All-Island Cup, TG4\u2019s commitment to the women\u2019s game continues to grow. The inclusion of the Sports Direct Women\u2019s FAI Cup brings the total number of domestic women\u2019s football fixtures broadcast on TG4 in 2025 to 17 \u2013 covering 13 rounds of the SSE Airtricity Women\u2019s Premier Division, the Women\u2019s All-Island Cup Final, and now both the Semi-Finals and Final of the Sports Direct Women\u2019s FAI Cup.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nTG4\u2019s coverage will begin with the Semi-Finals in September, followed by the Final on Sunday, October 19th. This will be the first time the Semi-Finals will be broadcast live on free-to-air television \u2013 a landmark moment for visibility and support of women\u2019s football in Ireland.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe competition begins with the First Round in late June, featuring all 12 SSE Airtricity Women\u2019s Premier Division clubs alongside the four Semi-Finalists from the Women\u2019s FAI Amateur Cup. The Quarter-Finals will follow in mid-August.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nShelbourne are the current holders of the trophy, having defeated Athlone Town in the 2024 Final \u2013 a reversal of the 2023 decider, which Athlone won on penalties.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Sean Kavanagh, FAI Commercial Director<\/strong>, said: <em>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to announce this new broadcast agreement with TG4 who have already showed brilliant support for the women\u2019s game in Ireland through the League of Ireland and their coverage of the Sports Direct Women\u2019s FAI Cup further underlines their commitment to the growth of the Women\u2019s game in Ireland. We have already seen some memorable moments in the SSE Airtricity Women\u2019s Premier Division in TG4\u2019s coverage and we\u2019re very excited to see the Sports Direct Women\u2019s FAI Cup come to life with the extra broadcasts of both Semi-Finals and the Final.
