TG4 is proud to announce the return of Hurling for Cancer Research to its GAA BEO schedule for the second consecutive year. The hugely popular charity match, which raises vital funds for cancer research, will be broadcast live on Monday, 18th August from 7:15pm<\/strong> on TG4 and TG4.ie.<\/p>\n

Following a successful broadcast in 2024 that saw peak live viewership reach 219,000<\/strong>, the event once again promises a star-studded evening of sport, entertainment, and fundraising. Last year\u2019s fixture featured high-profile names such as Shane Long and Rachael Blackmore, and this year\u2019s lineup is equally impressive.<\/p>\n

Among the guests set to take part in the 2025 coverage are sporting legends Anthony Daly<\/strong> and Stephen Hunt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cork and Tipperary players<\/strong> from this year\u2019s All-Ireland Hurling final will feature, as well as All-Ireland Kerry star Paudie Clifford<\/strong>, Kilkenny legends TJ Reid<\/strong>, Wexford stalwart Lee Chin<\/strong>, the Morrisey brothers<\/strong> from Limerick and Dublin stars Con O\u2019Callaghan<\/strong> and Chris Crummy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Champion Jockey Paul Townend<\/strong> and Champion Trainer Willie Mullins<\/strong> will act as umpires along with Niall Quinn and Bernard Dunne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The full team lineups, management details, and match officials will be revealed in the days leading up to the event.<\/p>\n

First launched in 2012 by Jim Bolger and Davy Russell, Hurling for Cancer Research has become a staple of the GAA and Irish sporting calendar, bringing together current and former athletes, celebrities, and supporters in aid of the Irish Cancer Society\u2019s<\/strong> ongoing research work.<\/p>\n

Centra<\/strong> have come on board to support Hurling for Cancer Research this year.<\/p>\n
