An average of <strong>303,800<\/strong> people watched the live broadcast of the Senior Final between Dublin and Mayo, the highest-ever viewing figure for a Ladies\u2019 final on the station since it first started to broadcast the games back in 2001. <\/p>\n<p>The match reached <strong>563,000<\/strong> viewers in total and took a 40% share of viewing among Individuals.<br \/>\nViewing peaked at 5.24pm with <strong>409,700<\/strong> viewers as Dublin claimed their first Ladies\u2019 Senior title in seven years.<\/p>\n<p>TG4 has been both the Ladies Gaelic Championships\u2019 sponsor and exclusive TV broadcast rights holder since 2001.<\/p>\n<p>TG4 CEO Alan Esslemont congratulated LFGA on a superlative day\u2019s sport in Croke Park and he believes these record figures demonstrate the huge attraction of Ladies Gaelic Football both for supporters attending in person and for TV viewers also.  \u201cOur unique partnership with LGFA, as competition sponsor and TV broadcast rights holder, and yesterday\u2019s record viewing bear out the truth of the proverb \u201cN\u00ed neart go cur le ch\u00e9ile\u201d and the undoubted potential for further growth.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not only did Croke Park see the largest-ever attendance at an All-Ireland Ladies\u2019 Final yesterday (46,286 in Croke Park), it was the largest at any women\u2019s\u2019 sports event in Europe this year.
